Freudian Banana Pancakes | Peripheral Beings

Description

When I go through life, I take in a lot and get amused by the diversity of shapes and grotty life forms I come across. I find people and objects pretty absurd, and my imagination conjures up creatures, sprites, bulbous and grotesque beings to infest my space. These are all characters that I've drawn from a stream of consciousness that have their own life, their own bodily functions, dynamics and dignity. They're as diverse as we are, as I, a Chinese New Zealander, observe a Pakeha (Caucasian) man purchase from Banana Pancake caravan owned by a Pacific Islander. I find these Banana Pancakes really nostalgic, bright and lighthearted, just like the caravan. It seemed like the perfect scene.
